It’s nice how Gotye’s song on the radio has all kinds of people tuning into his sound… people who wouldn’t normally listen to that type of music… I dig it.

I started looking for more of his songs.. and Kimbras.  I stumbled upon this video of her performing live at a radio station.

I’d say her style is quite unique.. quirky, alternative, with a little bit of soul.  Check her out.  I can groove with it :)

another dope cover from these 5 talented vocal artists

Pentatonix - Somebody That I Used To Know

5 very different people who look like they shouldn’t be in the same group… creating one very interesting cover.

Rihanna’s You Da One covered by Pentatonix

People say I sound like my sister Jolly.  If only I could sing like her.

Norah Jones cover - Don’t Know Why

JR’s cover of Usher’s Climax.

I love hearing acoustic covers of r&b songs… especially when the people who do these covers have such a nice tone to their voice.  It makes my heart melt.  Check it.

Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt

nice.

this sound is perfect.  soothes my soul.

Recently fell in love with this artist TOKiMONSTA thanks to my good friends Gary and Chona :)  Check her out.

I have a thing for covers and acoustics.

Craig David - Fill Me In (acoustic)

I haven’t heard this song in a long time.  I don’t think the regular radio version was one of my favorites, but Craig David’s voice has always been very soothing to me.  This version is refreshing. So soulful and… that rap towards the end.  WhoOoo!

The guitarist goes off too.  :)   Beautiful.

… and.. holla at that Michael Jackson poster in the back.

my “twin” - Jolly May Rodriguez | the singer doing an impromptu performance at an annual family gathering.  my dad requested a song from her, and without ever meeting the band, she confidently walked on the stage and asked if they could play it for her.  i admire her courageousness and wish i had more of that quality.  despite our differences, she and the rest of my family are my real super-heroes.

glimpses of my family dancing and having fun can be seen here.  among the crowd is my mom and dad, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  i’m lucky to have this bunch of supportive, caring, and loving people in my life.  home is where the heart is.  holla if you know what I mean. <3
